FAQ & Fees Explained

We believe in transparent, fair pricing and always prioritize your pet’s comfort and safety. Grooming fees are based on more than size alone and may vary depending on coat condition, coat length, density, time required, and the type of haircut requested.

Some pets require additional time, specialized care, or advanced styling beyond a standard groom. When this occurs, extended grooming or matting fees may apply. These fees reflect the extra labor, skill, and care involved—not a penalty.

All pets are assessed at check-in, and any applicable fees are explained before grooming begins. Our goal is to provide high-quality, humane grooming while maintaining a safe and calm experience for every pet.

Matting Fees Explained

Matting and extended grooming fees are based on the additional time required due to coat condition, length, density, and haircut complexity. Our priority is always your pet’s comfort and safety.

Our priority is always to provide a safe, humane, and low-stress experience for your pet.

Behavior tier is determined at check-in or during the groom based on your pet’s comfort and tolerance.

Why behavior fees exist

Some pets require more time, patience, and specialized handling to ensure grooming remains a positive experience. Behavior fees help us maintain safe working conditions while providing individualized care.

Why We Use Tiered Pricing. 📈

Grooming prices are based on the time required, not just breed or size .

A dog’s size, weight, coat type, coat condition, behavior, and haircut style all affect how long a groom takes .

Our base prices cover a standard grooming appointment. When additional time is needed due to coat length, density, condition, or care requirements, a tiered fee may apply. This allows us to provide safe, unhurried, high-quality grooming for every pet.

Why wasn’t my dog done as fast as last time? ⏰

Even with the same dog, grooming time can vary 🐾.

Coat condition, behavior, and how your dog is feeling that day all affect how long a groom takes.

We never rush grooming if extra time is needed for comfort and safety. Our goal is always a calm, high-quality experience for your pet.

Do you offer multiple dog discounts? 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

We do not offer multiple dog discounts.

Each dog requires individual time, handling, and care, regardless of whether they are groomed during the same visit.

Pricing is based on the time and services needed for each pet to ensure safe, high-quality grooming for every dog.

Why was my groom more expensive today? 💸

Grooming prices can vary from visit to visit. It may have been longer since your last appointment, which can affect coat condition and grooming time. Additional time-based or behavior fees may apply when extra care is required.

Your total may also be higher if additional services or add-ons were requested, such as de-shedding treatments, specialty shampoos, or extended styling. Pricing reflects the time, skill, and services provided to each pet.

Why is de-shedding priced separately?

Our base grooming price covers a standard groom for a well-maintained coat. De-shedding is a specialized service that varies based on coat type, density, and coat compaction. Heavily compacted undercoats require additional brushing, products, and time.

De-shedding fees reflect the extra labor required to safely and effectively remove excess coat while maintaining coat health and comfort.
